Thank you for visiting my photography site. Here’s a little about me, the photos I take, and how I feel about photography.
I enjoy capturing photos of plants, animals and people working metal and other materials.
Many of my photos are taken as the sun is going down and the winds are picking up. This creates a challenging situation as daylight disappears and the steady movement of my subjects makes it hard to keep the subjects in focus.
This is particularly difficult when shooting dill flowers as they sit atop of a long stalk and respond to every movement of air and insect. Sometimes I must sway my body along with the movement of the plant–I’m sure this must look odd to passersby.
I also like the abstract, taking photos of everyday objects in ways we don’t often see them. Shooting in HDR gives me the opportunity to capture a broader range of lighting and also to add interesting and creative treatments to the photos.
On the commercial side, I like shooting people at work, metal objects and limited portraiture.
