Inspired by how much I liked the Sunflower on Saab photo, I shot this onion flower head from an onion that wintered over. I shot three HDR photos and then blended them together in Photomatix. To me, there’s just something very appealing about having the subject somewhat in focus on the left and the background blurred out on the right. This technique in shooting is one of the few things that I consciously think about when I shoot. It has to some degree instructed what I capture in the frame and how I capture it.
