I believe the rabbit in this photo is a “buck” – a male rabbit.
When observing our backyard rabbits, I noticed the males would tend to settle in more confidently than the females. A female rabbit by the way is a “doe.”
Our two chickens seemed to be intrigued by the rabbit’s presence and appeared to be discussing him.
