Calendula is a perennial that self-seeds each year and boasts a a beautiful flower.
It is sometimes referred to as the “pot marigold,” “Mary’s gold,” and “Scotch marigold.”
Calendula is a key ingredient in lotions and other preparations due to its therapeutic effects on the skin.
I grow it for its beauty and also because I use the flowers in the bath soap I make.
