It’s rare that one would allow a spicy spring green like arugula to go to seed but, having done so in 2017, and capturing this great photo, it’s a regular thing for me. Plus, I’m only a little fond of the spicy heat arugula produces and thus, I only occasionally eat it. When I do, I eat it fresh from the garden.
What I like most about shooting arugula is how the purple veins appear in the white flower. I’m fond of letting greens go to seed now just so I can marvel over the variety of colors and the beauty one rarely gets to see.
This photo has had limited edits in Adobe Lightroom. I can’t be sure what all I adjusted but, I’m inclined to think; contrast, shadows, saturation and clarity.
